Things to do in Baltimore

Baltimore's multifaceted character reflects its rich history. Once the second largest port of entry for immigrants to the United States, it remains to this day a city of distinctive neighborhoods. Downtown Baltimore, the city's main commercial district, is home to Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the National Aquarium—with M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens; the Reginald F. Lewis Museum; and the American Visionary Art Museum all just cab rides away. Learn more about things to do in Baltimore.

Quick Travel Recommendations

We recommend SuperShuttle as the most economical and user-friendly way to travel to the hotel.

When taking the train, book your ticket for Baltimore Penn Station.

The closest airport is BWI Thurgood Marshall  Airport (BWI).

Baltimore is approximately 45-60 minutes from Washington, DC.

We recommend Woodberry Kitchen, Pazo, DaMimmo’s, and Kali’s Court as restaurants worth the cab fare. Expected cab fare will range between 10-$15 one way.

We recommend Mo’s Seafood, Fogo De Chao, Capital Grille, and Brio as restaurants within a two - to 10-minute walking distance.

If you are traveling with your partner, spouse, or family, we recommend a visit to the Reginald F. Lewis Museum or National Aquarium Baltimore.

The Education Trust promotes high academic achievement for all students at all levels — pre-kindergarten through college. Our goal is to close the gaps in opportunity and achievement that consign far too many young people — especially those from low-income families or who are black, Latino, or American Indian — to lives on the margins of the American mainstream.
